This privacy policy explains how Pen To Pinion (operated by Microbrand Marketing Ltd, registered in Scotland, Company No. SC829309) collects and uses personal data when you visit pentopinion.com. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect and why
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type). This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent via our cookie banner.
Advertising. We display advertising served by Google AdSense. With your consent, Google and its partners may use cookies to personalise ads. Without consent, only non-personalised ads are shown. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Email newsletter. If you subscribe (for example to receive our free ebook), we collect your email address and process it through Klaviyo to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and we will delete your data on request.
Contact. If you email us, we keep your correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
Legal bases
We rely on consent for analytics, advertising and marketing emails, and on legitimate interests for site security and responding to enquiries.
Sharing and transfers
We share data only with the service providers named above (Google, Klaviyo, our hosting provider Krystal Hosting Ltd) to operate the site. Some providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept for up to two years.
Your rights
